Mother of the Wolves was born Thursday, January 12th, 2017 and is a nice 82,000-words at the first draft. I felt like the girl from "Romancing the Stone" (1984) because I cried so much at the end that I could barely write the last paragraph! But it was a good cry and now I am editing both the 2nd edition of Lupin and the first draft of Mother of the Wolves.
The long awaited Snow Day EP is finally available for purchase on this website, through CDBaby, Amazon, iTunes, and Bandcamp for only $5. Also, I've made available all the lyrics and chords on this website under the Music tab, because it would be a great honor if someone played my songs, and if you do, I would love to hear about it in an email or on twitter! Today, I will be releasing the "Build Me Up" music video and within the next few days, "Inside the World You Are." So please subscribe to my Youtube channel for updates. Although it is now possible to purchase the entire EP, I'm saving the "Snow Day" music video release for December. Sorry!
Placing as Runner Up for "Snow Day" in the Song of the Year Contest makes me appreciate the little triumphs in life even more. It may not have won, but this acknowledgement in the face of thousands of entries is beautiful. Thank You. http://2016results.songoftheyear.com/angelakempe.htm
November 1st is the Snow Day EP release date, but it is already available for pre-sale. This is very good news for those of you who are as excited as I am. Also, I'm starting a new blog called "Rambling and Wallowing" which I will try to link with this site. Don't be alarmed by the name. I'm still my happy self, but I am going to be earthy in this blog and sometimes go deep into reflection. It's a diary, writing, philosophical thing!
We just shipped off the CDs to radio stations across the US and Germany. If you have a particular station you'd like to hear my latest EP in, please leave the name and place in the comment section below! Also, pre-sale release date is October 4th :)
Snow Day is now in production. It's been a wonderful process. I'm so thankful that I'm surrounded by friends and family that are encouraging me on this journey. Love you guys!
The day has come and tomorrow I will have the photos for my upcoming EP, "Snow Day." I will soon post them on this site. It's been a wonderful journey and I really appreciate all the hard work that Pascal Histel did on them. Thanks!
The photo shoot for "Snow Day" was shot on Sunday. It turned out really well and was so fun. Thank you Sina Schmuck for doing my makeup and Pascal Histel for your photography. I can't wait to see the end result!
I've hired a wonderful photographer and make up artist for the cover art of my new EP. He is outstanding and I can't wait to see what comes of our shoot. I always love this part because it gives me a chance to express the idea of my music visually. Since it is the middle of summer (and there is a lack of snow), we've decided to make me up like a snow queen. It's going to be loads of fun!
